Captain Paul Joseph Murr Captain Paul Joseph Murr, 75, U. S. Air Force, Retired, husband of Michael Diane Murr, of Beaufort, SC, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2016 in Morningside of Beaufort. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 9:00am in Carl Anderson Memorial Chapel with interment in Beaufort National Cemetery with full military honors. Paul Murr was born on November 21, 1940 in Cleveland, Ohio. He is the son of the late Joseph Murr and Florence Satink Murr. He served in the US Air Force in Spain, England, Delaware, California, Ohio and Florida. He earned his MBA while serving. After retiring from the Air Force in 1982, he owned Murr's Printing in Jacksonville, Florida and later Beaufort, South Carolina. He was a man of many talents, including home remodeling and woodworking. He enjoyed traveling to far-flung destinations with his wife, Michael. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are son, Michael Joseph Murr; daughter, Ruth Ann Murr and step-daughter, Cameron Garman all of Jacksonville, FL; three brothers, Al Murr of Winchester, VA; Joseph Murr of Wooster, Ohio; and Robert Murr of Beaufort, SC; four sisters, Mary Reinmann of Kissimmee, FL; Frances Ostrom of Akron, Ohio; Lucille Woods of North Canton, Ohio, and Geraldine Rea of Mansfield, Ohio; two grandchildren, Matthew and Patrick Murr, and one great grandchild, Katherine Murr.
