Carl and I played music in college. He was the most fun to be around of anyone in the group, always had funny things to say. When he was serious, he had a great way of looking at the world and interesting takes on every subject. He once said, "I can BS on any subject for at least five minutes," meaning subjects with which he was unfamiliar. And you know, I believe it. Carl knew who he was. I miss him.
