On November 27, 2019, Carl Austin Tucker passed away at the age of 83.
Carl was born in Duncan, Oklahoma in 1936 to Leroy and Martha Tucker. He graduated from Duncan High School in 1954 and the University of Oklahoma in 1958. Carl was a Vietnam veteran, and received an honorable discharge from United States Marine Corps at the rank of Captain. After serving in the military, he began his civilian career as a geologist with Humble Oil and Refining. He retired from Exxon Corporation as an Exploration Division Manager in 1982 and began his own successful oil and gas exploration company in Midland, Texas. He retired from the oil business in 1992 and lived most of his retirement years in Pearland, Texas.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Darla Tucker of Pearland, Texas, as well as his two sons, David Tucker of Midland, Texas and Steven Tucker of Pearland, Texas. He is also survived by his brother, Paul Tucker of Richardson, Texas, as well as grandsons Austin and Matthew Tucker, both of Pearland, Texas. He was loved and respected and will be dearly missed.
