Carl Lynn MaxwellSeptember 08, 1945 - October 22, 2017VisaliaCarl Lynn Maxwell known to his family and friends as "Lynn" passed away into the loving arms of our Lord on Sunday, October 22, 2017, at the age of 72, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Lynn was born on September 8, 1945 in Tulare, California to Woodrow and Oda Maxwell. The Maxwell family moved to Armona, California where Lynn graduated from Hanford Joint Union High School in 1964. Soon after graduation, he began his profession as an industrial mechanic for Moore's Business Forms in Visalia, where he worked for over 40 years.Lynn's true calling and vocation began when he surrendered to preach God's word and was later ordained at the First Missionary Baptist Church of Armona on September 25, 1982. In 1984 Lynn graduated from Fresno Missionary Baptist Institute and Seminary with a bachelor's degree in Theology. Lynn faithfully served as the Associate Pastor for the First Missionary Baptist Church of Armona until his passing. The First Missionary Baptist Church of Armona was the sponsoring church of the California Mission Development where Lynn served as Director of the association for 26 years.Lynn is survived by his son, Casey Maxwell and wife Marisela of Sacramento; sister Judy Hutsell and husband Dennis of Visalia. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Nicholas Garcia of Visalia and Aaliyah White of Sacramento; nephew Dustin Hutsell and wife Genny of Visalia; and nephew Andrew Hutsell and wife Jennifer of Tulare.A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 10AM at the First Missionary Baptist Church of Armona, 10649 Railroad Avenue, Armona, CA 93202, with Pastor Keith Hooper officiating and Pastor Bill Fritz performing a memorial message.Memorial Donations in memory of Lynn can be made to the First Missionary Baptist Church of Armona.Condolences may be offered by logging onto
