Carl Dean McLaughlinWHITE COTTAGE: Carl Dean McLaughlin, 71, of White Cottage, died at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Emeritus at North Hills. He was born on March 22, 1943 in Blue Rock a son of the late Gilbert W. and Frances Weaver McLaughlin. He worked as a plumber/pipe fitter out of Cambridge. He also enjoyed dancing.He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda; one daughter, Sherri Penrod; two sons, Brent and Brett McLaughlin; two sisters, Dorothy (Lawrence) Dickson and Louise M. Edwards; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Bradley Penrod and Calvin McLaughlin.Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home, 5765 Gladstone Drive, White Cottage where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2014. Pastor Clay Hannum officiating. Burial will be in Wesley Union Cemetery.
