KENDALLVILLE — Carl Wilhelm Rose III, age 73, of Kendallville, died on Nov. 18, 2015, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Mr. Rose was born on April 26, 1942, in Fort Wayne to the late Carl W. Rose Sr. and Luzina (Fisher) Rose. Carl attended Kendallville High School and married Rita Marie McClellan. He worked for Hipskin Asphalt in Fort Wayne for 22 years. Carl also worked as a delivery driver for Holsum Bakery in Fort Wayne. He played bass guitar in several bands including The Traveling Band, Traces of Time and Chapter 7. Carl enjoyed playing different types of instruments, racing street rods, rabbit hunting, fishing, antiquing and trading. Survivors include former spouse of 47 years, Rita Marie Rose of Kendallville; sons, Carl W. Rose of Lima, Ohio, and Barry L. Rose of Lima, Ohio; daughters, Donna A. Diehl and Trenna K. Rose, both of Lima, Ohio, Heather M. Argueta of Kendallville and Christina G. Sierk of Hudson; grandsons, Dewayne J. (Aimee) Diehl of Kendallville, Joshua J. Hunt of Lima, Ohio, Gabriel E. Argueta of Wolcottville, and Miles C. Sierk of Kendallville; granddaughters, Sophia G. Sierk of Rome City and Gabriella E. Argueta of Kendallville; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2015, at 3 p.m. at Hite Funeral Home with visitation from 1-3 p.m. Burial will be at Lake View Cemetery in Kendallville.
