We are gathered here today to mourn the loss of our beloved Carla Hayes, who passed away suddenly on June 8, 2024 in Temple, Texas. She was born on September 17, 1969 to her proud parents, Melvin Davis and Thelma Smith.
Carla leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, as well as her three children: Markeshia, Marcus (who was lucky enough to have Rami Bradford as his spouse), and John H. She was also a doting grandmother to six precious grandchildren.
Carla was known for her dedication to her work at TISD, her passion for helping the community and church, and her love for attending NAACP meetings. She had a generous heart and could often be found feeding the homeless or planning her next travel adventure.
Although Carla's sudden natural death has left a hole in our hearts, we take comfort in the memories of her contagious smile and infectious spirit. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Rest in peace, Carla Hayes. You may be gone, but your legacy will live on forever in our hearts.
You can to the family or in memory of Carla Hayes.

I only knew Carla a year, but I can tell you she was such a sweet, caring, kind person. She loved her family and the new grandbaby on the way. She loved her Wildcats💙🤍. She is going to be greatly missed however I know that she loved the Lord and there is no doubt in my mind that she’s in heaven now! Till me meet again.🙏
