Carloe Carter, age 73, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at the St. Anthony Medical Center in Crown Point, IN.  Carloe was born on July 1, 1942 in Middleboro, KY, the son of Rufus and Mae (Whitaker) Carter.Carloe attended the Middleboro, KY public schools.  On December 29, 1984 in Steger, IL, Carloe married the love of his life, Sandra F. (Jones).  Carloe was a repairman for the Ford Motor Company and had retired after 32 years of service.  He enjoyed playing music and was an accomplished guitar and harmonica player.  Carloe also enjoyed re-upholstering furniture.Carloe is survived by his loving wife Sandra; children, Carloe Joseph (Kathy) Carter of Michigan, Marsha (Todd) Washburn of Knoxville, KY; step-son, Don (Lorna, Fiancé) Jentsch of South Bend, IN; 12 grandchildren; sister, Nellie Jones of Alto, Georgia.Carloe was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers and 2 sisters.Friends may call on Monday, August 17, 2015 from 9:00 -11:00 AM at the Jackson Funeral Service of DeMotte, IN.
