Carmen Saravia Lemus, 45, of Culpeper, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, January 21, 2024 in her home. She was born August 14, 1978 in El Salvador to Julio César Lemuz and Maria Antonio Lemuz.
Carmen was an amazing mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend to many. She was a loving person and always put everyone before herself. Although she battled with epilepsy most of her life, she walked through life with a smile and a positive attitude.
Carmen enjoyed dancing and singing. She liked celebrating anything and everything with music, surrounded by her family and loved ones, and with food. She enjoyed cooking, especially for her family. Carmen was an incredible person and shared a piece of her heart with everyone she encountered. Everyone that knew her knew what a beautiful soul she had.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Maria Eduarda Lemus, and grandfather, Justiniano Mejia.
Carmen is survived by her parents; husband, Carlos Gonzalez; four children, Jenifer, Ana, Carlos, and Nury Gonzalez; granddaughter, Beatriz Portillo Gonzales; her brothers, Alfredo Lemuz, Ever Lemuz, Justo Lemuz, and Julio Lemuz; sisters, Julia Lemuz and Margarita Lemuz; as well as an abundance of extended family members and friends.
