Carmen Marentes, born on July 16, 1954, in El Paso, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2024, at the age of 70. Carmen was the beloved daughter of Jorge and Maria Prangner, and her life was marked by love, resilience, and a deep commitment to her family.


She is survived by her children, Jose Guadalupe Sanchez Jr., Corina Rodriguez (Son in Law David Rodriguez), and Melissa Sanchez, who will forever cherish her memory. Carmen was a devoted grandmother to 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren each of whom she adored.


She is preceded in death by her parents, Jorge and Maria, her siblings Guadalupe “Beanie” and Antonio “Tony”, and her youngest son Antonio “Boy” Sanchez. Their spirits now welcome her into eternal rest.


Carmen dedicated much of her life to caring for others, working as a nanny until her retirement in 2016. In her free time, she expressed her vibrant personality through cooking, baking, and dancing—activities that brought joy to her family and friends. Her infectious laughter, warmth, and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
