Meihaus, Carmine "Sam",Meihaus, Carmine "Sam", 69, passed away on Thursday March 30, 2017. She was born on July 1, 1947 in Lexington, Ky., to the late John C. and Elizabeth Meihaus. Sam retired after 32 years from L.G. & E, was a founding member of Mad Camp Cabaret and a Catholic by faith. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Carol.Sam is survived by her companion, Fran Thomas; brother, Robert Meihaus (Shirlee); nephews, John P. and Robert Z. Meihaus, John Robert and Christopher Lee Meyer; niece, Bethany Lynn Meyer; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and special friend Bob White.Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, April 3, 2017, at Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road, East Louisville.Visitation will be on Sunday, April 2, 2017, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and on Monday from 10:00 am until time of service.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Jewish Hospital Transplant Unit. www.RattermanBrothers.com
