Carol A. Walmsley RACINE (Formally of South Pasadena, Florida) Carol A. (née: Holmberg) Walmsley, 84, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare-All Saints on Sunday, February 2, 2014. She was born on July 26, 1929, the daughter of the late Harry and Evelyn (nee: Oskim) Holmberg. Carol graduated from Niles High School in Niles, IL. On September 9, 1950 she was united in marriage to William L. Walmsley in Skokie, IL. He preceded her in death on October 26, 2000. Carol spent most of her life in Racine, moving to South Pasadena, FL for many years then returning to Racine in 2013. She was a former member of Lutheran Church of the Resurrection and Northside Baptist Church in St. Petersburg, FL for many years. Most recently she had attended Changing Lives Assembly of God in Cudahy. Carol was a past Vice President of TMS, Inc. in Racine from 1968 to 1993 and Harbourside Social Club and a member of Coral Pointe Assoc. She loved to dance, sang in the choir and played the piano. Carol also enjoyed Spider Solitaire. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. Surviving are her children, William H. (Vicki) Walmsley and Lynn A. (James) Delray; grandchildren, William A. (Stephanie) Walmsley, Aaron (Denise) Walmsley, Lindy (James) Christensen and Evan (Bethany) Walmsley; great grandchildren, Josiah, Arianna, Sophie, Aaden, Lexy and William. Funeral services will be held at Changing Lives Assembly of God, 4970 S. Swift Ave., Cudahy, WI on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at 6 p.m. Carol will be laid to rest at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in a private ceremony. There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and at the church on Thursday, before services from 5 p.m. until time of service at 6 p.m. For those wishing to remember Carol in a special way, memorials to Changing Lives Assembly of God for Missions purposes, have been suggested.
