CAROL J. BAKER
MORO — Carol J. Baker, 48, passed away Thursday, Nov. 24, 2016, after fighting cancer for nearly three years, at her home in Moro.
She was born on Jan. 16, 1968, in Alton, Illinois, the daughter of Robert D. and Elda (Meier) Baker.
Carol worked for Dollar General for 10 years. Carol had a love for animals, pick-up trucks and reading.
Survivors include her mother, Elda, of Moro; one sister, Lori Baker; two uncles, Thomas Macias, and Rolland Meier and his wife Renee; two aunts, Sandy Moody and Vi Simpson; two nephews, David Biggs and Tyler Biggs; and one niece, April Biggs.
She was preceded in death by her father, in December of 2005; two uncles, Ray Meier and John Lucas; and three aunts, Evelyn Boster, Jo Ann Macias and Jean Lucas.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, at Elias, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.
Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 29, at Meadowbrook First Southern Baptist Church with Pastor Kevin Auten officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto. Memorials may be given to Carol's family.
