Tagel, Carol J.Carol J. Tagel, age 73, of Plymouth, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at the Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Center with her beloved family by her side. She was born on January 24, 1943 in Racine, to the late Alex and Emma (Ruppel) Schuppe. She attended St. John's Lutheran grade school in Racine and Plymouth, and graduated from Plymouth High School.Carol was united in marriage to Terrance Tagel on May 22, 1971 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Plymouth. Terrence preceded her in death on May 26, 2006. Carol was employed at Bordens Cheese until her retirement. She enjoyed teaching special education Sunday school for many years. Besides her love for serving in the church, she found great pride in her two sons and five grandchildren. They were what kept a smile on her face. Carol will be remembered for her kind hearted generosity and the love she had for her family. Carol is survived by her two sons; Trevor (Becky) Tagel and Jason (Jody) Tagel both of Sheboygan; five grandchildren, Jayden, Trenton, Briannah, Jason (JT), and Tanner Tagel; four sisters and two brothers, Shirley Wilson of Racine, Gerald (Karen) Shuppe of Muskegon, MI, Lynda Gosse of Plymouth, Susan (Ken) Hunt of Woodbridge, VA, Mary Weisharr of New Holstein and James (Patti) Schuppe of Neenah; and a sister-in-law Connie Schwochert (special friend Jerry) of Sheboygan; along with many other family and friends. Along with her parents and husband Carol was preceded in death by her brother Richard Schuppe; a sister-in-law Marilyn Nytes; and four brothers-in-law Bruce Wilson, Wayne Gosse, Norman Weisharr and Reed Samsal.A memorial service for Carol will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 2 p.m., at Wittkopp Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Nathan Meador officiating. Burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery after the service. Friends and family may gather at the funeral home, 123 South St. Plymouth, from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 2 p.m..
