Carol Jeanne CoveyDanbury Township, Ohio: Carole Jeanne Covey, 79, of Danbury Township, Ohio passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at the Jane Baker House at Otterbein North Shore Senior Lifestyle Community, Lakeside, Ohio. She was born on April 22, 1938 in Wood County, Ohio the daughter of the late Joseph and Gladys (Scott) Mahler. She married William Covey on August 26, 1961 and he survives.Carole worked as a cashier/clerk for various stores throughout her career. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Danbury Township where she taught Sunday school. She was also active as a Girl Scout Leader, and a member of the Music and Athletic Boosters at Danbury High School. She enjoyed playing cards, especially solitaire, mowing the lawn, and family gatherings. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.Survivors include her husband, William; daughters, Shelley (Matt) Seamon and Kelley (Joe) Sotak, of Danbury Twp; son, Eugene (Shawn) Covey, Port Clinton, Ohio; grandchildren, Tiffany and Matthew Seamon, and Gavin and Jase Covey; siblings, Barb (Jim) McGee, Port Clinton, Frank Mahler, Jerry (Lucy) Mahler, Evelyn (Cleo) Bodi, Patricia (Gilbert) Wadsworth, Walter (Linda) Mahler, James (Rita) Mahler, all of Danbury Twp; sister-in-law, Darlene Mahler, Danbury Twp.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Chris (Delores) Mahler, Jack (Gloria) Mahler, Joe Mahler, and sister, Ellen Mahler.Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 27, 2017 from 2-6pm at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Road, Lakeside-Marblehead, Ohio.Additional visitation will be held on Monday, August 28, 2017 from 9:30am until Funeral Services at 10:30 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 541 S. Church Road, Lakeside-Marblehead, Ohio, with Pastor Christina L.
