Carol June (Taylor) Fowler, age 73, passed away on September 10. 2015. She was born on June 7, 1942 in Yuma Az. and was raised in Somerton Az. along with her brother Danny, by her mother Ovie (Wilson), (Taylor), Bailey and father Emzy Taylor. Ovie was extremely proud of her beautiful little girl with long curly brown hair. Carol met and then married the love of her life, Harold (Sonny) H. Fowler Jr. on June 7, 1963 and spent 52 wonderful years together as one. Together, they raised two sons, Todd and Rod Fowler. Although Carol had only two children, she was known as "mom" by many, opening her doors and her heart to all. Carol always chose love over hate, resolution over conflict, and gave freely of herself with no expectation of return. Carol loved her family and friends and did not hesitate to let them know by ending all of her conversations with "I love you" instead of goodbye. Carol was always one to cherish the little things in life. She paused often to smell flowers and enjoy a sunrise. A crescent moon in the evening sky gave her joy. She loved to go camping with her family and friends and a campfire was her favorite destination. No one was forgotten when their birthday came around and one could expect to receive one of her homemade cards.Carol is survived by her mother Ovie, her Husband Sonny, her son Todd and his wife Marian and their children Jewel and Robert Tater, Jason Schaffer and Tyler and Sunnie Fowler; also her son Rod and his wife Gina and their son Michael Shorten and his wife Genevieve. Carol had 9 great grand children. Carol was proud to be a Taylor and loved all her cousins, nieces and nephews. Carol will be missed by all that knew her.Carol was preceded in death by her father Emzy and her brother Dan. Surely now she is being serenaded by Dan's fiddle playing that she loved so much.Pallbearers: Todd Fowler, Rod Fowler, Tyler Fowler, Michael Shorten, Robert Tater, Jason Schaffer, David Power, Joel QuinnHonorary Pallbearers: Gene Taylor, Robert Taylor, Jerry Frame, Patrick Allen, Louis Keiser.
