Carol S. SiewertMANSFIELD: Carol S. Siewert, 81, of Mansfield passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, July 30, 2017. She was born on October 1, 1935 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Kenneth and Ruth (Miller) Williams.Carol was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was a graduate of Northside High School and of Parkview Memorial School of Nursing as a registered nurse. After moving to Mansfield, Carol worked as a nurse supervisor in the emergency room of Mansfield General Hospital and later went on to work as a realtor for many years. After retirement, Carol took on her favorite job of all: full time grandmother. She a had a strong, fun personality and was a very optimistic person. Carol was ahead of her time in the vision of the world she wanted to leave behind and was generous in her support for groups sharing that vision. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and visiting with members of her Bridge club. Carol is survived by her husband of 60 years, Daniel Siewert; her children, Michael Siewert and Sarah (Patrick) Bennett; and her grandchildren, James Rieder-Siewert and Jack and Will Bennett. She is preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Sharon Kerr.A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, August 13, 2017, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Life Celebration Reception Center, 129 S.
