Ball, Carole S. Carole S. Ball, age 75, of Scottsdale, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2017. She was born on November 26, 1941 to the late Robert and Ruth Haslam in Glasgow, Scotland. She attended the University of Maryland obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Behavioral and Social Sciences. Carole was an advocate and leader for the Area Agency on Aging and served the Democratic Party in Virginia. Carole worked until retirement as a Social Services Supervisor for the City of Phoenix at the Paradise Valley Senior Center. On December 7, 2002 she married William K. Ball in Scottsdale. Carole enjoyed planning activities at the senior center and traveling. She also took pride in caring for her aging parents. Carole is survived by her three step-children, Jeffrey Ball, Loretta (Rick) Holdsworth, and Catherine Delgado; six step-grandchildren; two step-great grandchildren; and many loving friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, William K. Ball in 2008, and her brother, Robert J. Haslam in 1961. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for the services the Sunnyhill Adult Care Home, Companion Hospice, and to all who participated in the care given to Carole in her last few months. Graveside services will be held at 9:00 am on Monday, June 26, 2017, at the Paradise Memorial Gardens, 9300 E. Shea Blvd, Scottsdale, AZ 85260.
