CAROLE KATHLEEN WILSON Age 83, passed away on October 1st at her residence in Sherman Oaks, CA. Carole was born on January 6, 1933 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Richard and Bea Dreith. She was the oldest of five children. Carole's family moved to Los Angeles, California when she was a young child. There she attended Sacred Heart High School, graduating in 1951.Over the July 4th weekend in 1952, Carole met the love of her life, Weldon Wilson, who she married on February 19th , 1955 They moved to Sherman Oaks in 1965. They had four children, Michelle, Kevin, Brian and Marla. Carole was very busy raising four children and volunteering as room mother at St. Francis de Sales School and as a member of the St. Francis de Sales Parish altar society for many years. Carole was very athletic and took up tennis when her children were young. She was a member of the Van Nuys-Sherman Oaks Tennis Club for several years. Her tennis club friends became a central part of her social life and she made many lifelong friendships among them. Carole was extremely social and outgoing. She could strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere. She had a large collection of friends from all time periods of her life. Carole's friends were an extension of her family and she was extremely loyal to them. Carole was fun loving, vibrant, kind and compassionate. She loved to laugh and to dance and to entertain. She loved her family and her friends very much and she is going to be missed dearly by all of them. Carole is survived by her husband of almost 62 years, Weldon; her four children, Michelle (Doug) Rigney, Kevin (Gralen) Wilson, Brian Wilson and Marla (Jim) Vils; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Rigney (John Pressley), Shannon (Parker) Kelley, Kaitlin Vils, James Vils, Courtney Vils, Jenna Wilson, Caleb Wilson and Fiona Wilson; her siblings, Diane (Bob) Noland, Dick (Carol) Dreith, Sandy (Rick) Nelson and Linda Halbrook; and numerous nieces and nephews. Carole's first great grandson, Kieran Kelley, is due to arrive any day. Carole has been entrusted to the care of Angeleno Mortuary, Van Nuys, CA.
