Carolyn "Kay" BreigCarolyn "Kay" Breig died peacefully on March 21, 2017 at the age of 81. Her strong faith released her soul in peace to the Lord.Kay is survived by her husband William Breig, daughters Kelly Vickers Hardin (Greg), Jami Vickers Redfearn (David), and grandchildren Maci Kay, Lilli, Jack Flanigan and Josh Redfern. Sister Linda Nichols and nephews Wade (Karen) and Craig NicholsKay was born on July 27, 1935 to Ione and Albert Eckert. Kay began her teaching career in 1955 and retired in 1991. In 1983 Kay married Bill Breig and they enjoyed many happy years together traveling. After retirement Kay continued to impact many people's life through countless hours of volunteering. On April 5, 2011 Kay received an LVAD device from the amazing team at St Luke's Heart Hospital. Kay became an ambassador for the LVAD helping make changes to the LVAD program, educating people on the device and mentoring new patients. A visitation will be held Friday March 24, at the Herman Lohmeyer Funeral Home from 6pm to 8pm. A funeral Mass with be conducted on Saturday March 25, 2017 at 11:30 am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.
