Carolyn L. Norman Carolyn L. Norman - a compassionate and nurturing soul with an unselfish heart and a delightfully ornery sense of humor - was a rockin', fun-loving lady who loved music, particularly rock 'n' rollers like Meat Loaf, Bruce Springsteen and Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show. She had a passion for collecting antiques and Fenton glassware, LOVED the color red and had a talent for interior decorating, as anyone who visited her home in Manchester can attest. She also really dug her dogs, especially her beloved dachshunds, Abercrombie and Throckmorton. But most of all, she loved being a wife, mom and grandma. She married her sweetheart, Victor Norman, Jr., an Akron
police officer, in 1958, and they were inseparable for the next 58 years, devoting their lives to each other and to their family.Carolyn passed away Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016 at the age of 78 after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Louis J. Berrodin, Jr.Carolyn was an amazing lady who reveled in life and was a joy to her family. She battled Alzheimer's disease for the last few years of her life, but even at the end, she was selfless and focused on others and their happiness. We will remember her smile, her "cute look," singing about the "sweet mysteries of life" in her opera voice, her "nose trick" and giving us the good-natured "crooked finger." Most of all, we will remember her love.
