Carolyn Vassor Allen (68) entered this world on on Tuesday April, 21, 1953; in Garysburg, NC.
Born the 4th Child and Eldest daughter to the late Joe and Sallie Ann Vassor. In which, She was preceded in death by both of her parents. Carolyn herself then answered Jehovah's call home on February 26, 2022 at Eastside/Piedmont Hospital in Snellville, GA.
Carolyn graduated from Gumberry High School in 1971. Upon graduating Carolyn's compassion for others lead her into Caring for others worked at Pleasant Hill Nursing Facility in Pleasant Hill, NC.
Even from an early age, Carolyn was strong in her sense of faith and was a member of Allen AME Church in Conway, NC until later in life rededicating her life to Jevovah by joining the Central Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses in Rocky Mount, NC.
After leaving Northampton County, Carolyn relocated to Rocky Mount, NC be coming employed at Abbott Laboratory(Pfizer) in Rocky Mount, NC , where she was an dedicated employee, retiring after 35 years of service.
Carolyn was united into marriage to Tony Allen formerly of Rocky Mount, NC in 1978 and to this union two children were born, Derek L. Allen and Toni L. Allen.
Carolyn loved her children deeply and loved her Grandchildren even more. She leaves her legacy behind to her husband of 41 years Tony, 2 children Derek and Tonya, all of Snellville GA.
Six Grandchildren: Aderekia, NaQuay,and Alyssa Allen all of Rocky Mount, NC. Taylor, Tayniah and Trinity Brown all of Snellville, GA.
Two grandchildren at Heart; Quinton and Najaiof Rocky Mount, NC. 3 Great-Grandchildren: Ayniah, Janola and Alex Jr all of Rocky Mount, NC.
Special Daughters at Heart, Mrs. TrakeenaHicks of Garysburg, NC., Ms. Diandra McLamb and Mrs. Chiquita Duker both of Loganville, GA.
And to her remaining 9 Siblings, to whom she was so very close to each and every one of you she leaves you to cherish and keep her memories. She is also survived by two Aunts; Eunicetine Kee and Irene Deloatch. Her Allen Sisters and Brother in-laws: Dorothy Ghee, Naomi Edwards , Joyce Brown , Claudette Stephens, Arthur Allen and Elsa Allen.
Her Sister and Godmother of Tonya Mrs. Brenda Faye Dickens (Sammie) McLamb, along with her Sisters Ms. Annie and Ms. Helen.
Along with a host of Nieces, Nephews, Members of Her congregation and friends.
To describe Carolyn, many would agree it would be her love for cooking and Good Food! She saw cooking as a way to express her love for her Family and as way offer help to those in need. She always cooked as if feeding an Army of people!
Carolyn had a love for writing. She had an eloquent penmanship and a gift/love for Poetry.
Compassionate, Loving, Giving, Understanding, Strong,Patience and Kind also are often used in describing Carolyn.
Carolyn was also very Strong in her Faith of Jehovah. You could often find her doing her studies and sharing her knowledge of Jehovah's Teachings. In her own words Carolyn wrote " I wish for nothing more than for my own Children to come together in the Truth".
