Carolyn Yvonne BlackLubbockCarolyn Yvonne Black, 73, of Lubbock entered her eternal home on May 19, 2017. Yvonne was born on May 30, 1943 in Bronte, Texas. She graduated from Bronte High School in 1961 and from Shannon School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse in 1964. Yvonne loved life and found great delight in her family, cooking for others, tole painting, and quilting. She was a devout Christian and a dedicated member of LakeRidge United Methodist Church.Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin Monroe and Irma Lee Hayley McCutchen, and her brothers Richard McCutchen and Doug McCutchen.She is survived by her daughter Debbie Brownlow and husband Brian of Lubbock; her daughter Kim Black McCann and husband Thomas of Hawaii; three grandchildren, Hayley, Mickenzie, and Carson Brownlow all of Lubbock; one sister, Patricia Lee and husband Martin of Bronte; her brother Kenneth McCutchen and wife Minerva of Mullen; a sister-in-law, Kathy McCutchen of San Angelo; and many nieces and nephews.The family wishes to thank the staff of Callander House Highland, Hospice of Lubbock, and Covenant Medical Center.Visitation will be from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23rd, at Sanders Funeral Home in Lubbock. A celebration of her life service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 24th in LakeRidge United Methodist Church Chapel, with Rev. Brian Brownlow officiating. Interment will follow at 4:30 p.m. in Hayrick Cemetery located west of Bronte, Texas.
