Carrie Lynn Schumacher-Nakken of Stanwood, Washington passed away on November 12, 2016, at the age of 54 from complications related to her hard fought, courageous battle with cancer. Carrie is preceded in death by her father, Carl Jacob Schumacher and mother Mary Elaine Bowers. She is survived by her five loving children, Joshua, Blaine, Brynden, Sarah and Jake Nakken along with her brother, Steven Schumacher and longtime best friend, Karen Schumacher. Carrie was born on May 3, 1962, in Glendale, California where she grew up riding horses and loving the beach. As a young woman she moved to Washington State where she met Jeffrey Dale Nakken and had her five children. Shortly after the birth of her youngest son, Jake, she moved with her family to Louisville, Kentucky where she opened one of Louisville's first coffee shops "Java Jakes". Her love for the west coast later brought her back to Washington State where she opened a dog kennel in Stanwood, "Stanwood Kennels" where she loved and took extra care of peoples animals for over ten years. We now have our Strongest Angel watching over and guiding us in loving memory. A memorial service will held for her on Thursday November 17, 2016, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Weller's Funeral Home, 327 N. MacLeod Avenue. Arlington, WA 98223
