Carroll D. Cline, 71PORTLAND - Mr. Carroll D. Cline, 71, of Portland, IN, passed away at 2:22 p.m. on Friday, November 25, 2016 at I.U. Methodist in Indianapolis, IN. He was born on Tuesday, March 6, 1945, in Hartford City, IN. He married Nancy (Barnett) Cline on Friday, December 31, 1976 in Greentown, IN. Mr. Cline was a 1963 graduate of Montpelier High school. He was a lifetime resident of Blackford and Jay Counties. Carroll was a lifetime Jay & Blackford County Farmer he was an avid Gardener, and was a big produce vendor at the Jay County Farmers Market. . He was a big supporter of the Jay County Girls and Boys basketball teams, and 4-H animal shows. Loving survivors include his wife, Nancy (Barnett) Cline, Portland, IN; daughter, Jenny (Casey) Wagner, Dunkirk, IN; granddaughter, Piper Jane Wagner; grandson, Andrew Wagner and sister, Helen Stroble, Hartford City, IN.He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Elsworth Cline; mother, Esther Edna (Knox) Cline; sister, Joyce Mattingly and sister, Lilla Sue Cline. Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home, 109 W Windsor St Montpelier on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.A service to celebrate Carroll's life will be at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 with Mike Harris and Randy Davis officiating.
