Carroll G. (C.G.) MahanZANESVILLE: Carroll G. (C.G.) Mahan, 84, of Zanesville, died at 8:26 a.m. Friday, March 22, 2013 at Emeritus at North Hills in Zanesville. He was born on August 11, 1928 in St. Clairsville, Ohio to the late Walter and Helen Mahan. C.G. served in the
Korean War Conflict from 1953 to 1955. After retiring as the owner of Bean Brake & Front End Service for 43 years, he filled his time raising game birds to be released into the wild for hunting and also teaching his grandchildren to fish in his pond or tinkering with his old tractors in the barn. He is survived by three daughters Mrs. John (Becky) Frank, Mrs. Andy (Carolyn) Hite, and Mrs. Don (Chris) Farus; four sons Doug (Linda) Craig, Tom (Becky) Craig, Keith Mahan, and Steve (Jill) Mahan; 18 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; one brother Walter "Butch" Mahan; one sister Blanche Knipe.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years Mary Louise Mahan who died on April 9, 2011; his sister Virginia; and brother Cory. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2013 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive in White Cottage. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at the funeral home with Rev. Paul Ashbrook officiating. Burial in Fultonham Cemetery where Zanesville

The family would like to thank the entire staff at both Emeritus at North Hills and Genesis Hospice & Palliative Care for becoming Dad's family away from home during these last years of his life.
