Catherine du Croix battled cancer her entire life, never giving in. When she finally let it win, she did not go down without a fight. She wrote her experience in beautiful poetry, she made sure that her death was not to be forgotten. Indeed, it shall never be forgotten, for the impact of Catherine's writing on the world shall outlast the world itself. There is nought to do to bring her back, but she is not gone. No, she lives, in her poetry and love and memories. She thought herself no one of consequence, having no idea just how bright her star really shines, but to all she knew, she was nothing but a blessing to be around. Her wicked wit, her cunning sense of humour, and her wisdom all were far beyond her 16 years. She will be loved and missed by all.
