Catherine "Cathy" Kulla, 62, of Burnsville, Minnesota, passed peacefully on July 19, 2023. Cathy was born to James and Margaret Marshall on December 20, 1960, in St. Paul, MN. Cathy grew up in Inver Grove Heights with her siblings Patty, Mary, and Jim. She was a wonderful and devoted mother who dedicated her life to caring for others through a 25-year career as a day care provider and nearly a decade of personal care for adults with disabilities. She truly had a passion for caring for others, spending time outdoors, and spending time with friends. She was proud to be a part of the Minnesota Marine Moms group where she was amongst many strong and supportive women, just like herself, that celebrated and supported their brave children and family members who served in the United States Marine Corps. She was a huge fan of Hallmark movies, cheesecake, dragonflies, and her favorite color was peach. She is survived by her sons Kris and Nick, her daughter-in-law Jenny, her former spouse Kevin, her sister Patty, her brother Jim, sister-in-law Jody, several nieces and nephews, and countless close friends.

Nick and Kris, You both have done your mom proud. On one of my last visits with her in the hospital, she wanted so terribly to live for you boys. After we visited, she realized, her work was done, you both are living your lives as she raised you to do. It was her time now to journey towards eternal rest. She knew the love you both had for her. Know that your mom will always be looking down on both of you and smiling with the angels. Your mom loved dragonflies, a sign of rebirth, everytime you see one, think of her eternal life, she is at peace.
Love to you both.
