Catherine Mosley Obituary
Jan 24, 1955 - May 01, 2013
This obituary is administered by:
Catherine Lynne Mosley, better known as Cathy, 58 years old, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 in Anchorage Alaska. Cathy was born on January 24, 1955 in San Mateo, California to John and Ruth Colombini. The youngest of three beautiful girls, her sisters Nancy and Jonna. She graduated from Hillsdale High School in 1972 and also the school of life. She then moved to Germany and then settled in Anchorage, Alaska. She worked at KTVA, Longs Drugs, Gillette, and then opened Alaska Warehouse Specialists with her husband, Tim.After moving to Anchorage she met her husband, Timothy Mosley, at a local bar where they had an instant connection. A few weeks later they became almost inseparable and got married June 12, 1990. The life they shared together was one of laughter, love, loss, and happiness. They were best friends, confidants, business partners, republicans, and lovers. Married for 23 years they raised their three children; Jody, Timothy, and Danielle in Anchorage, their home. Sadly they had to survive the loss of their daughters Jody and Danielle, along with her mother Ruth. Through those losses Cathy and Tim became closer and stronger than before. Almost invincible. Possessing a true nurturing heart she cared for her family and friends through listening, giving opinions, like an Alaskan Dr. Phil, and took pleasure in throwing parties and being the hostess with the mostess. With a real zest for life Cathy loved to read, hunt, fish, snowmobile, four wheel, camp, chat with friends and family, and keep everyone in line... She liked to crack the whip.Cathy was a strong willed and opinionated woman -Italian- and if she didn't like something she let you know about it. So, her underlying support of her family and friends went a long way in proving to us all we were all on the right path. Her flare for honesty and compassion will truly be missed. So, we sadly must say our goodbyes to our beloved Cathy Mosley and know she is not alone. She is with her mother and two daughters that have been waiting for her. We will miss her everyday but she will live in our hearts forever. Her surviving family members are numerous, but mainly include: Husband 23 years: Timothy E. Mosley Sr. Child: Timothy Mosley Jr. and fiancà Kimber WarrenGrandmother of 2: Silas and Sawyer MosleyDogs: Tubb (favorite), Shyanne, KonaImmediate Family: Father John Colombini; 2 sisters, Nancy and Mike Schneider, their children and her two favorite nieces Michele and Sami (little Cathy) Schneider, Jonna and Dave Bonzani, their children Gina and Chris.Other family and friends are too numerous to list. Seriously it's a lot. There will be a Gathering of Remembrance on May 18, 2013 in the multi-purpose room at Kasuun Elementary, Anchorage, AK from 1:00-3:30 p.m. Please come and share in the memories of Cathy Mosley's life. Memorial Donations can be made to the Providence Children's Hospital in her name. Yet beyond the financial donations Cathy would want you to do an act of kindness, make someone laugh, give a hug, say I love you to someone special in her memory. The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support they have received in many heartfelt forms from too many people to name individually, but including the wonderful doctors and nurses at Providence Hospital, friends and family - through visits and random acts of kindness. Also, thank you to Kehl's Legacy Funeral Home. Cathy will be forever a piece of our lives. "Our Angel that lived, laughed, loved, and listened."
