Catherine (Pat) WamplerAGE: 78 • MiddletownCatherine (Pat) Wampler passed away peacefully on October 20, 2016, the day she was celebrating her 60th wedding anniversary. She was born on June 12th, 1938 in Baltimore, MD to Catherine and Roland Dennis.Pat grew up in Curtis Bay, MD with her 3 sisters and 2 brothers in a modest 2 bed room house filled with love and laughter. Pat spoke often of the joy and memories she had playing at the local Curtis Bay playground. Pat attended Southern High school in Baltimore.In July of 54 she met the love of her life Jack Wampler when he swam nearly 2 miles up the river where the two begin a life time court ship that started on a sandy beach in Cottage Grove.Jack and Pat where married in October 20th, 1956 and 1 year later welcome their first child Joseph (Bob) Wampler Jr. After the arrival of her second child Tim, Pat pursued a career at Sears and Roebuck working in the store's display department.An accomplish and award winning Duck Pin bowler, Pat and her family moved to Middletown Delaware in 1974 where she became active in hobbies, such as musicals and plays at the Everett Theater. Line dancing and participating in the towns famous Hummer's New Year Parade became a fun and active part of Pats life. 1n 1978 she started her business Wishing Well Antiques, this adventure allowed for her and her husband to travel and do shows throughout the United States These activities and her dedication to volunteering as an active member of the MOT Senior Center created lifetime friendships with so many people she loved and cherished. Going to Ocean City Beach, traveling the world with her husband and friends was highlighted by her deep passion for serving her family and others. This, more than anything is what Pat will always be remembered for.She is survived by her husband, Joseph (Jack), son Tim, 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her father and mother, she was preceded in death by her beloved son Joseph R Wampler Jr. A time of celebration and reflection with family and friends will be from 7-9 pm. on Wednesday, October 26th at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral, 212 N Broad St, Middletown, DE 19709. A Graveside Celebration will be held 1pm on Thursday October 27th at the Cedar Hill Cemetery, 5859 Ritchie Hwy Baltimore, Md. 21225.
