We are gathered here today to celebrate the life of Cathy Johnson-Carter, who passed away on June 30, 2024, in East Orange, New Jersey. Cathy was born on November 27, 1965, to her loving parents Douglas and Thelma Johnson.

Cathy married the love of her life, Keith Anthony Carter, in 29. Together, they raised four wonderful children: Andrea, Keith Jr, Kevin, and Kristopher. Cathy was also a proud grandmother to four grandchildren.

After graduating from Far Rockaway High School in 1982, Cathy pursued a career as a home health aid, providing care and comfort to those in need. She retired in 2001 to spend more time with her family.

Cathy had a passion for singing and cherished the moments she spent with her beloved grandchildren. She brought joy and laughter wherever she went, and her presence will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Though Mom felt like life was overtaking her, we take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace. Cathy's spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
