WOONSOCKET - Cathy L. Genereux, age 61, passed away on the morning of Friday, October 27, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. Her final moments were spent at her childhood home in Bellingham, MA, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on April 9, 1956, in Woonsocket, RI to Pauline M. (Allain) Gaudini and the late Dino Gaudini where she grew up in Bellingham, MA and graduated from High School.Cathy was a stay-at-home mom for a period of time before returning to the workforce. She enjoyed doing various arts and crafts and took pride in making Halloween Costumes for her kids and grandkids. She enjoyed bowling, playing a good hand of cards, and loved trips to Twin River Casino with family and friends. Cathy's unique and contagious laughter was her trademark. Described by her mother, "whenever you were out with Cathy, you could always find her by her laugh." She always found humor in everything. Cathy is survived by her companion, Roland Alexander of Bellingham, MA; her Mother Pauline Gaudini of Bellingham, MA; her daughter, Andrea Richardson and her fiancé Justin Arbuckle of Whitinsville, MA; her son, Carl Genereux and his wife Lauren Genereux of Lincoln, RI; her stepson Jason Alexander and his fiancé Kelly Earnest; and three grandchildren Lillian Genereux, Lincoln Alexander, and Miles Alexander. She is also survived by three sisters, Nancy Bellemore and her husband Raymond of Cranston, RI; Karen Toupin and her husband Peter of Oakland Place, FL; Jo-Ann Tardiff and her husband John of Sheridan, Wy; her brother Dean Gaudini and his wife Linda of Mendon, MA; many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.It was Cathy's wish to be cremated and not have any services. A celebration of Cathy's life will be held at her son and daughter-in-law's home on Sunday, November 12, 2017, located at 1924 Old Louisquissett Pike, Lincoln, RI, 02865. All are welcome to pay their respects during the open house celebration from Noon to 3 pm. In lieu of flowers, we ask that a donation be made to the Meals on Wheels Program. Special thanks to the kind-hearted nurses and doctors of Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Salmon Hospice of Greater Milford. We will always carry Cathy's memory and love in our hearts.
