Capt., Cecil Boone Berryman, USMC, Retired Capt., Cecil Boone Berryman, USMC, Retired, 85, widower of Dolores Smith Berryman, Of Beaufort, SC passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at his residence. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 17, 2016 from 12 pm to 1:30 pm at Anderson Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held to honor both Cecil and Dolores by Pastor Ron Atkinson on Monday, October 17, 2016 at 2pm at Beaufort National Cemetery with both receiving full military honors. Cecil was born on September 30, 1931 in Covington, Kentucky to Hayden Berryman and Mary Elizabeth Epperson Berryman. He worked as a manager for Pleasant Point Plantation which is now Country Clubs of Beaufort and Royal Pines Golf Course and then manager of Parris Island golf course and served our country in the United States Marine Corps. While serving he was awarded the Purple Heart and fought in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Surviving is two daughters, Valdina "Teena" Berryman of Beaufort, SC and Mary "Skeeter" Bozin of Rincon, GA; also two sisters, Karen Sue Ferguson and Jewel Jean Wight; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren with one immediately due. Anderson Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family.
