Growing up with Cecil I always felt a special bond with her, don't know why except maybe it was the fact that we were close in age, or maybe it was because we were the last two to leave home and for a few years it was just the two of us kids at home. In any case, we had good times, some bad and fought a lot like most brothers and sisters do. Some of the best times with Cecil though was the trips to Missouri each year for the family reunion. The days in Delmar's cabin, the pitch games, and on and on. I would love to go back and live just one of those trips again, but I still have the memories.

I first met Cecil and her family back in 1971. I had enrolled in the College of Southern Idaho to study Accounting and Business Administration. I became a kind of big brother to her son and daughters. That really meant a lot to me! God bless you, Cecil, and Peace Be With You!!!!!

I will always remember when I first met Cecil, she had come to Nebraska with her daughter and son inlaw and children for a reunion.
Cecil was one of those people who could whip up anything to make a meal go further.
I never knew of her closing the door on anyone she would always add an extra plate.
Cecil was one of those who could do all crafts from crocheting to woodworking, she was always willing to show you how to do something.she was one hell of mother and grandmother always accepting her family for who they were.
I will miss this beautiful soul, I feel blessed to have met you, and gotten to know you.
FLY HIGH MY FRIEND.

What a wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and beautiful lady she was. Our family and hers spent many happy times visiting together. We all lived close together in Idaho. So many happy moments. Cecil will always be cherished in my heart. Love you all. The Bastian Family

Mom, I will forever cherish you from the first time we met until forever, you have treated me as you own daughter and not just a daughter in-law ❤️ you took in me and my son's without hesitation or question. I have never had to ask or feel the need to ask if you excepted us as did your son. We have shared wonderful experiences and tragic experiences and you have always been there with support and guidance. You have always been a Beacon of light abd strength within our family, where all could come and know they were loved and safe. It's hard to fathom life with out your safe place in it. I am going to miss you so very much. Mom I love you know and forever. Utill we meet again please know you will be carried in our hearts and memories aways.
