Celeste Sandra Demeter, 47, passed away Nov. 29, 2016, in Rainier, Ore., surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Jan. 25, 1969, in Las Vegas to Rob and Marti Lowe. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.Celeste graduated in Mt. Home, Idaho, in 1986. She was a customer service representative for Macy's, and enjoyed camping, fishing, cooking, spending time with her children and grandchildren, being a social butterfly and loving football (Detroit).Her wonderful, bubbly personality and beautiful smile always made everyone around her comfortable and wanting more. She went out of her way to offer help to everyone who needed it. Celeste married Tommy Demeter Nov. 23, 1985, in Elko, Nev. He survives her in Rainier, Ore. She is also survived by a son, Matthew, of Portland, Ore.; two daughters, Alexandria of Portland, Ore., and Sarah (Dustin) of Vancouver, Wash.; two granddaughters, Scarlett Demeter of Milwaukie, Ore., and Sophia Stockton of Portland, Ore.; her father, Rob Lowe of Minot, N.D.; her mother, Marti Lowe and David Lovelady of Los Ranchos; three brothers, Robby Lowe (Dawn) of Spokane Valley, Wash., Arcenio Lowe of Los Ranchos, Rick Martinez (Beth) of Las Cruces; maternal grandmother, Trinnie Martinez of Las Vegas; mother-in-law, Darlene Hersh of Rainier, Ore.; special aunts, Darlene Martinez (Leon) and Marie Benavidez (Danny), both of Las Vegas; three uncles, Ed Martinez (Christine) of Clovis, Archie Martinez (Josette) and Pete Jr. Martinez, both of Las Vegas; special cousins, Mickie Martinez, Amanda Martinez, Eric Benavides, Cabrini Martinez, all of Las Vegas, Damien Martinez (Bella), of Las Cruces, Zac Martinez (Angela) of Las Vegas, Nev., Francisca Cordova (Paul) of Rainsville, Marcos Martinez (Elisa), and Katherine Benavidez of Albuquerque; and many other uncles, aunts, many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Kenneth Lowe and Pete Martinez; grandmother, Shirley Lowe; uncle, Angelo Martinez; and her brother-in-law, Gilbert Hersh. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 12, at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Portland, Ore. Memorial contributions may be made to area hospice centers. Columbia Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
