Mr. Celestino Augusto dos Santos Marques, of Charlotte, NC, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2020 at the age of 73.

Celestino was born to parents Jose and Celeste Marques on September 25, 1946 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He grew up as an only child and was very close to both his parents and his godfather, and namesake, Celestino Augusto Rodrigues. In 1971, he married his beloved wife, Telma Sueli
Ferraccioli, to whom he was happily married for 49 years. Celestino was an accomplished banker and financial officer for several banks and large corporations in Brazil. In 1995, he moved along with his family to the United States and started a new career in healthcare administration and worked for the University of Central Florida until his retirement in 2015.

Celestino is survived by his wife Telma Marques, his son Bruno Ferraccioli Marques (Jennifer), his daughter Fernanda Ferraccioli Marques Burke (Joe), and his three grandchildren: Luiza Marques, Tiago Marques, and Quint Burke. He loved being with his family and friends while enjoying a good meal and sharing lots of stories. Celestino will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those that had the pleasure to be in his presence.

Celestino will be cremated and his ashes will be scattered by his family at a later date. The family is grateful for the condolences and they welcome donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as an expression of sympathy.
