Chad Koester, 42, of Arlington, Minnesota (formerly of Forest City) passed Wednesday, July 01, 2020 due to complications of his hemophilia. Chad was born to Steven Koester and Debra (Book) Koester on May 24, 1978 in New Ulm, Minnesota. 

Upon Chad's wishes he has been cremated. Private funeral services will be held at 3:00pm Saturday, July 11th at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 246 South Clark St., Forest City. 

Burial will take place in Madison Township Cemetery, rural Forest City. 

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes condolences and cards be sent to P.O. Box 73, Marble Rock, IA 50653.

Chad grew up in Gaylord, MN before moving to Forest City, IA where he attended middle school and high school, later achieving his GED.  Chad worked many trades throughout his life including painting water towers, roofing, painting motor homes, and various construction and carpentry jobs. 

Chad's biggest accomplishments and joys are his children Korra, Taylor, and Austin. Chad enjoyed spending time watching them grow over the years. 

Chad was a laid-back guy that enjoyed playing catch with the boys, going camping, and spending time getting dirty outdoors. He was always willing to help family and friends with house projects or give handy advice. He also enjoyed playing videos games, collecting baseball cards, woodworking, and goofing around. Chad also loved music and playing his guitar. 

Chad is survived by his three children Korra Marr, Taylor and Austin Koester of Thompson; brother, Troy (Kari) Koester of Henderson, MN; brother, Aric Koester of Arlington, MN; sister Angie (Chris) Lines of Marble Rock, and nieces Harper and Rylee; father Steven (Julie) Koester of Arlington, MN; great aunt Violet Charlson of Mason City, and several special aunts, uncles, and cousins left to cherish his memory. 

He is preceded in death by his mother Debra Koester, grandparents Harold and Marlys Book of Forest City and grandparents Melvin and Inez Koester of Greene Isle, MN.
