Chad Dean Cislo Obituary
Sep 06, 1976 - Jan 13, 2016
This obituary is administered by:
Chad Dean Cislo1976 ~ 2016Chad Dean Cislo, 40, of Boise, ID, passed away far sooner than any of us were prepared for. He met his Lord on September 13, 2016 at home in the presence of his family. Per Chad's request, he wanted this obituary to be "short and to the point."Chad was born on September 6, 1976 to Allan and June Cislo in Polson, MT. He was raised on Flathead Lake enjoying swimming and boating in the summer and skiing in the winter. He was a very hard worker, helping his dad in the summers and working multiple jobs throughout his teen years. After high school, Chad went to Phoenix, AZ where he worked the night shift for five years at Hadco building printed-circuit boards while pursuing his education at Glenwood Community College and
Arizona State University. He then came to Boise in 2001 and worked full-time while finishing his two Bachelor's degrees at Boise State University in Business Management and Human Resources. His last 11 years have been spent in the materials management department at St. Alphonsus Health System, where he was instrumental in building a world-class Supply Chain. He was very proud of his job and the daily role his department played in the welfare of their patients. Chad loved to walk; few people could keep up with his long strides and purposeful pace. That was his time of reflection and problem solving as he was a very intelligent man who would look at issues very differently than anyone else and come up with solutions that others would never have thought of. He was an out of the box thinker! Chad was a loyal and caring friend to lots of people and was quick to lend an ear in hard times, and even quicker to tell a joke or funny story to lighten the mood. He was so generous to people he didn't know, as he couldn't pass a person in the street asking for help without reaching in his pocket and saying, "He needs it more than I do."Socializing with his friends was a very important aspect of Chad's life. In terms of a sense of humor, Chad had no equal. Those that know him would agree that his true calling might have been a stand-up comedian. Chad knew his time was short and spent the last 3 days with his friends and family, saying his goodbyes and "giving them the chance to say good bye to him". One of his last comments was, "I died of a life well-lived."Chad is preceded in death by his father, Allan Cislo; his sibling, Niche; his uncle, Brian Cislo; and his grandparents, Stephen Cislo, Marlene Cislo and Edward Prestegaard. Chad is survived by his mother, June Prestegaard Juhnke and her husband, Ron; siblings: Jordan, Joshua and James; and his grandmother, Patricia Prestegaard. Also his uncles: Glen (Carrie) Prestegaard, Thor (Tracy) Prestegaard, Brett Cislo; his aunts, Sonja (Vern) Merk and Christel (Carlen) Ritenour and numerous cousins. A memorial service will be held 9/23/16 at 1:00 PM at the Vineyard Boise Church located at 4950 N. Bradley St., Garden City, ID. Burial will be at Dry Creek Cemetery. Arrangements by Cloverdale Funeral Home.
