Dr. Charlene Elizabeth Johnson83, of Indianapolis, passed away in the early morning hours of Friday, April 28, 2017. She was born on June 7, 1933 in Aurora, Ill. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion Priscilla Smith and Floyd E. Clark and her sister Marilyn Priscilla Vaughn.Survivors include her sons, Roderick (Keila) and Marshall Johnson; four grandchildren, Jared Johnson, Virgil Johnson, Adrienne (Felix) Crutchfield and Alexis Johnson and eleven great grandchildren; ex-husband, Bennett F. Johnson; special care supporters Latoria (Tory) Holloway and Chavala Davis (all of Indianapolis), along with a host of extended family and friends.A service will be held on Monday, May 8, 2017 at 12 p.m. at Witherspoon Presbyterian Church, 5136 Michigan Road, Indianapolis, with visitation from 10 a.m. until service time. Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Montgomery, Illinois.Memorial gifts may be made to Witherspoon Presbyterian Church, 5136 Michigan Road, Indianapolis, IN 46228 or Covenant Community Church, 5640 Cooper Road, Indianapolis, IN 46228.Condolences may be shared online at www.flannerbuchanan.com.
