Charlene Weidert, 82, Watseka, died Tuesday, February 21, 2017. She was born on August 23, 1934 in Beecher, IL, the daughter of Carl Pries and Evelyn (Donaldson) Pries. She married Glenn Weidert on March 21, 1959 at the First Christian Church that was once located in Watseka, IL. Charlene worked as a Mary Kay Consultant for over 25 years. She was a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Mary Kay, as well as a board member for Watseka Mutual Insurance Co. She enjoyed crafting, flowers, antiques, baking and collecting dolls. Her true passion was in painting. Surviving is her spouse Glenn Weidert of Watseka; son and daughter-in-law John and Pam Weidert of Pensacola, FL; daughters and son-in-law Christine and Daniel Pelletier of San Francisco, CA, and Kim Pelletier of Laval, Quebec, Canada; brothers and sister-in-law Junior Smith of Gilman, and Ronald and Kathy Smith of Watseka; sisters and brother-in-law Marie Dean of Kankakee, Joyce Landry of Fort Smith, AR, Nita and Bill Barnett of Gans, OK, and Janice Brackman of Bloomington, IL; grandchildren Brittany Girr, Lauren Hamilton, Nathan Pelletier, Janna Weidert, Hope Valencia, Kenna Weidert, and Mandi Weidert; great-grandchildren Clara Girr and two on the way; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Norman Smith and Charles Pries; one son-in-law, Paul Pelletier; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, February 24, 2017 from 4 to 7 pm, at Baier Funeral Home. Funeral will be Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 10:30 am, at Baier Funeral Home. A one hour visitation will be held prior to services. Pastor Scott Paisley will officiate. Burial will be at Iroquois Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials can be made to IMH Hospice, Calvary Baptist Church of Kankakee, or Donor's Choice.
