Charles Wayne Burchett Jr. (Junior) passed away suddenly on April 11, 2023, at the age of 58.
Jr. was born September 16, 1964 to Charles Wayne Burchett and Martha Ann Hopper Burchett at Tippah County Hospital. On November 3, 1986 he married his wife Reba Sue Clark Burchett. They spent 36 years together. During their years together they went on to have 2 children and 5 grandchildren. Jr also gained 2 step children along with 3 step grandchildren.
Jr. was a skilled mechanic and spent many years working in the field. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. He loved spending time with his family. He also loved riding the backroads with his wife taking in the scenery and looking for big foot tracks. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and uncle to many. He always put his family first.
Jr. is survived by his Daughter; Ashley Burchett - Poole, Randy (Ripley), Brother; Billy Burchett, Deb (Ripley), Step Children; Jackie Hastings Brown (Walnut), David Hastings (Booneville), Grandchildren; Abby Brown, Auston Hastings, Phebe Brown, Molly Poole, and Brandy Poole, Nieces and Nephews; Rhonda Sanders, Eddy (Corinth), McKenzie Clark, Bethanie (Rienzi), Terrielynn Dixon, Clint (Corinth), James Clark, Miranda (Tennessee), Ricky Joe Clark (Ripley), Missy Baswell (Ripley), and Nathan Burchett (Ripley). He is preceded in death by his Wife; Reba Burchett, Daughter; Tameka Burchett, Father; Charles Wayne Burchett, Mother; Martha Ann Hopper Burchett, Brother; (Tommy) Thomas Floyd Burchett and Uncle; Gorman Burchett, Grandsons; Walker Charles Poole and Elisha Carter Brown, and a Sister in Law; Barbara Ann Clark.
Funeral services honoring the life of Jr will be at Lowry Church with Bro. Doc Shelton officiating. Visitation will be Thursday April 13th from 5pm to 8pm. Services will be Friday April 14th at 11am at Lowry Church. Burial will follow in Lowry Cemetery. Arrangements will be provided by The Ripley Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Eddy Sanders, Billy Ray Johnson, “Big” Steve Turner, McKenzie Clark, Billy Burchett, and Randy Poole. Honorary Pallbearers: Donnie Holliday, Len Hays, and Joe Godwin.
Jr will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him. We will always carry your memory in our hearts.
