Charles A. McKeeCharles A. (Mac) McKee died October 18, 2016 at the age of 91.He was born on July 10th, 1925 in Gregory, South Dakota, the youngest of seven children of Herbert and Martha Jane McKee. He attended elementary and high school in Gregory, and then attended South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City, SD, for one year. He spent two years in the Army Air Force and then received his bachelors degree in Business and Industrial Engineering at the University of South Dakota (USD) in Vermillion. While at USD he met Shirley Snorteland and they married in 1952. The newlyweds lived in Beloit, Wisconsin, where he worked for Fairbanks-Morse and then moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he worked for Worthington Corp. Most of Mac's career was with Control Data Corporation in Minneapolis, Houston, TX, and Bloomington, MN, followed by Magnetic Peripherals Incorporated (MPI) in Rapid City, SD. After he retired in 1987, Mac and Shirley moved to the Rio Robles retirement community in Kerrville, TX, where they lived for 26 years. While there, they were avid travelers in their motorhome and volunteers for Habitat for Humanity and the Family Motor Coach Association. In 2014 they moved to Good Samaritan-Denton Village in Denton, TX.Mac is survived by his wife Shirley and their three children: Ron and his wife Laurie of The Colony, TX, Gordon and his wife Dana of Robins, IA, and Jane and her husband Ernest of Vicksburg, MS; three grandchildren: Kyle and Christian McKee and Tyler Smith; and three nieces and six nephews.Memorials may be made to the
