Exner, Charles AllenCharles "Charlie" Allen Exner, age 54, of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, passed away Thursday February 2, 2017 at his residence. Funeral services for Charlie will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday February 7, 2017 at Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home in Nekoosa, Wisconsin. Pastor Doug Schalow will officiate the service. The family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday at the funeral home from 11:00 - 1:00 PM. Charlie was born on February 22, 1962 in Racine, Wisconsin to Duane C. and Minnette J. (Bloom) Exner. He married Debra L. LaBarge on October 13, 2000 in Wood County Wisconsin. Charlie graduated from Mid-State Technical College in Wisconsin Rapids with a degree in engineering. He worked for the last 16 years for Marathon Electric as an engineer. Charlie was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, trap and spend as much time in the woods as he could. He enjoyed fishing trips with his father Duane and liked to spend time at the family cabin in the woods by Nekoosa. Charlie was a family man who loved his children and grandchildren. He was adored by his family. He was a hard worker who was very proud of his job and enjoyed his time spent at Marathon Electric. Charlie is survived by his mother Minnette, beloved wife Debra, six children Stephanie, Grant, Jennifer, Brandon, Kaitlyn and Emma, four grandchildren Zoe, Jaden, Charlize and Jack, brother Steve (Wendy) Exner and sister Jodi Exner. He is further survived by his best friend and fishing buddy Gary. Charlie is preceded in death by his father Duane C. Exner, brother Duane E. Exner and brother-in-law Orrin Ninneman. The Exner family would like to thank Dr. Kirschling and the staff at the UW Cancer Center- Riverview for the wonderful care given to Charlie.
