Charles Bradford “Charlie” Cradle, was born on January 12, 1955 in Shelby Michigan to the late Kid and Carmella Cradle. He departed this life on Sunday, October 6, 2024 after a lengthy illness.

He received his early education from Southern High School in Baltimore and later joined the army in.  1973. After serving in the army he met and married Theresa “Trecy” Weems. Out of their union they had a son, Chavez “Chevy” Cradle, who he adored and loved deeply. He enjoyed spending time, talking and bonding with his son Chevy.

Charles (Charlie) was employed at Hate Hanks for many years until he retired in 2018. During his time at Hard Hanks he met his fiancée Joyce Simons, who he cherished and loved with all of his heart.

Growing up in Westport, Charles like to play basketball in which he was a good left handed shooter; he was excellent swimmer, a pro at shooting dice, and a sharp dresser. Once Charlie put his clothes on you couldn’t tell him nothing. He knew he looked good!

Charles had a lot of things that he like to do but most of all he loved to dance. No, matter what type of music was playing he would get up and dance and give it his all. Doing this time from dancing everywhere he went he adopted the name “Unc” by many friends and strangers who became friends.

Besides dancing Charles loved watching his favorite Football team the Ravens, on any given Sunday when the Ravens played you can be sure to see Charles representing his team in a Ravens Jersey. He also loved spending time with his family. Most of his joy came from being around his family and friends.

Charles leaves to cherish his memories: his fiancée Joyce Simons, his son Chavez Cradle (Karolyn), two grandchildren, Cieara cradle, and Chakeen “Chai” Cradle, four great grandchildren. He also leaves; two sisters Diana, (Inez preceded him in death) three brothers Purnell, Marlon, (Howard preceded him in death). Four aunts; Vivan, Rosa Lee (Josie and Maeola preceded him in death) and three uncles; (Raymond, Willie, and Elvord preceded him in death).
