Mr. Charles Christian Vasser was born on July 12, 1953 in Greensboro, Alabama to the late Arthur Vasser and Carol Ann Vasser.

Charles was educated in the Birmingham City School System and graduated from Woodlawn High School. After High School, Charles enlisted in the United States Army.  

Upon returning home from the Army, he worked as an ROTC Instructor for the Birmingham City Schools until he retired in 2014. In retirement, he was active in his community and church.

In the summer of 2015, Charles met the love of his life, Mary Callens, while on vacation.  The two were inseparable from the beginning and later married in January 2017.  Charles and his wife relocated to Dallas Texas to be closer to his wife's family.  Charles was a loving and devoted husband who was loved by many.

Charles only daughter, Chrishuna, was a true daddy's girl. The father and daughter facetimed often and Chrishuna made frequent visits to Dallas from Oklahoma when her work schedule permitted.

Charles leaves to cherish his memory, a devoted wife, Mary; loving daughter, Chrishuna; 5 grandchildren (Charles, Camron, Christine, Chelsea, and Charmaine); one brother, Gary (Betty)Vasser; one niece, Faith Vasser; and a host of friends who loved him dearly.
