REDDING Charles F. Redding, III, peacefully passed away Friday, November 18th, 2016 in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Charlie was born on April 18, 1933 in Jacksonville, FL to Charles F. Redding, Jr. and Josephine B. Redding. After high school and attending university, Charlie served in the
United States Navy working on the Regulus Missile program. After completing his military service, he joined the Amoco Oil Company, followed by the S.C. Johnson Company, before starting his own Airwick franchise. He is survived by his loving wife of 33-years, Rita V. Redding; sister, Mary Smelser; and sons, Charles F. Redding IV and Corey Redding; and five step-children. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Niva; and son, Clay. As a beloved grandfather, he will be dearly missed by 19 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Charlie lived a full and plentiful life and had great love for his wife and family. He enjoyed the beach and sailing in the St. Johns River. Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 545 A1A N, Ponte Vedra Beach, Tuesday, November 22nd at 2 PM. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the staff of Arbor Terrace of Ponte Vedra Beach for such wonderful and compassionate care.
