Services will be celebrated at 3:00 pm on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Athens, with Rev. Mark Schwalenberg officiating. The visitation will be from 12:00 pm on Sunday until service time at the church. Military rites will be conducted by the

Charles was born on July 26, 1935, the son of Carl and Selma (Pilgrim) Hamann. He was united in marriage to Theodora Redmann on April 23, 1960. He was a veteran of the United States
Army. He was head cheese maker at Mullins Cheese and he then purchased his current home and dairy farmed there until health issues prevented him from continuing. He continued his love of farming with his garden and mowing lawn to feed grass to his pets daily. Charles was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Edgar. He was a member of the Fenwood Lions and was secretary for many years. Charles enjoyed bowling and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Theodora, sons, Brian (Mary) of Marshfield, Carl (Vivian) of Stevens Point, Edwin of Stratford, Gene (Tina) of Athens, daughters, Alice (Clarence) Werner of Edgar and Fay (Keith) Niemann of Stratford. He is also survived by grandchildren, Hannah (Andy), Hallie (Scott), Lucas, Sheri (Robert), Teri, Michele, Julie, Charles, Kolton, Joseph, Paul, and Maxwell and great grandchildren, Emma, Lillian, Ellie, Lyla and Scarlett. He is further survived by brothers, James (Janice), John (Karen), Tom (Carol), Lloyd (Cathy), and Raymond (Eileen) and a sister, Mary (Lloyd) Schultz.
