On November 7, 2017, Charles George Glueck passed away at the age of 97. He was born on July 19, 1920. He was married to the love of his life, the late Joyce Glueck, for 67 years. Son of the late Charles George Glueck and Alma Tate and stepson of John Isaac Howze, he is survived by his children: Charles George Glueck, Gary Glueck, Gwendolyn Radabaugh and husband Michael Radabaugh, Cynthia Graham and husband Michael Graham. He is also survived by his 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Mr. Charles Glueck was a WWII veteran who served as a Major in the United States Army Artillery unit. Mr. Glueck attended Jesuit High School and Loyola University where he served as student council president as well as captain of several athletic teams. He worked for White-Westinghouse as a regional sales manager his entire career. Mr. Glueck and his wife lived in East Lakeshore with their 4 children. He was a longtime parishioner of St. Pius X Catholic Church where he served as a Eucharistic minister. As an active member of his community, Mr. Glueck served for over 50 years on numerous committees, including the Sugar Bowl Committee, The Easter Seals Committee, The Zurich Classic of New Orleans, The Krewes of Eros and Hermes as well as many other charitable organizations. Besides all sporting events, Mr. Glueck's passion in life was to entertain people and insure that all were having the times of their lives. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation followed by a funeral mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE HOME, 5100 Ponchartrain Blvd. on Saturday, November 18, 2017. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass in the chapel at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn All Saints Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to Companions of Clare, 627 Middle Road, Skowhegan, Maine 04976 or Jesuit High School.
