HODGMAN, CHARLES SACKETT Charles Sackett Hodgman, of Chelsea, Michigan, age 88, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2016, at the Chelsea Retirement Community in Chelsea, MI. He had lived in the area for the past four years, coming from Cornwall, Connecticut. Charles was born on September 28, 1928, in New York City, NY, the son of Alfred and Beatrice (Sackett) Hodgman. On May 7, 1959, he married Marjorie Stradella at Christ Church Methodist in New York City, and she preceded him in death on November 21, 2016. Charles was in the National Guard Reserve, but he spent his entire working career in international and domestic marketing with General Motors, retiring in 1987 as Director-Marketing, International Export Sales. Surviving are his children: Cindy Everitt (Bobby Adams) of Wilmington, North Carolina, Pete (Sherry) Hodgman of Dexter, MI, Nancy (Brad) Rabinowitz of Burlington, Vermont, and Charles (Leslee) Hodgman of Millis, Massachusetts, and five grandchildren: Heather Balanda, Brian Balanda, Craig Everitt, Cameron Hodgman, and Ryan Hodgman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Ian MacInnes Hodgman. Services are private and interment will take place at a later date at Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla, NY.
