Charles James Godwin, 71, passed on December 30, 2020. He was born to John Godwin and May Godwin in Columbia, South Carolina on November 21, 1949.

He married Julian Bernice Godwin in 38 and they lived together in Columbia, South Carolina. Together they raised 4 children Natasha Cook, Charles Godwin Jr., James Godwin , April Godwin . He is also survived by 7 grandchildren.

Charles graduated from Bethel High School in 1968.

Sergeant Major Godwin served his country for 32 years as a Air traffic control in the 4415th of the Air Force . He was deployed 4 times. Although, he loved his family. He enjoyed taking care of his horse. Better known as \"The Black Stallion\". You will be truly missed poppa.
